Description
The ground-hugging daisy is common along coastal areas and in disturbed soil and roadside verges. Most of the year is is an inconspicuous weed-looking plant but can be identified as the Cape Weed by checking the back of the leaves for a silver colour. It performs an important function as a food support for insect populations on disturbed and marginal pieces of land such as road verges where other plants do not survive the inappropriate mowing regime.It is pollinated by bees and butterflies.
Propagation instructions - seeds
This plant is easily propagated from seed sown in autumn. If the plants are left to go to seed, it seeds itself freely in the garden.
