Description

Mountain Road Primary School is in Woodstock, Cape Town. Two separate buildings were erected in Mountain Road, one was Woodstock Boys' School, completed in 1922 and the other, Woodstock Girls' School, completed in 1923. In January 1972 these two schools were amalgamated and the school was called Mountain Road School.

Mountain Road Primary School is right next to Greenpop's Eco-Hub which is part of the school grounds. This is the pilot site for Fynbos for the Future and Greenpop had their first Fynbos for the Future plant day here in October 2018. As of October 2021, they've had 5 plant days and the garden currently boasts 961 fynbos plants.

Mountain Road Primary falls within the range of the critically endangered Peninsula Shale Renosterveld vegetation type.
